Envelope Filter Pedal with True Bypass Switching
It's time to get funky with the Ashdown Envelope Filter. Capable of a wide range of effects from auto-wah through to spaced-out, auto-triggered funky tones, the sweep of the filter can be either up or down with selection of band-pass or high pass filter modes. A peak control is provided to deepen the 'Q' for more extreme effects and the depth of the effect is controlled by the volume of each note as it's played, making this a truly creative and dynamic pedal.

The pedal is housed in a durable metal case and features an input level control with a trademark illuminated Ashdown VU meter to allow optimum signal matching from any instrument -- active or passive. The pedal also features an output level control -- essential for obtaining the perfect balance between the effect and the true bypass mode.
Goes from auto-wah to freaky-funky sweeps, with depth determined by your playing volume! Peak Q control, up/down sweep, and band pass/low pass knobs.

"A toy, not a valuable part of a good rig"
Feature:
No wall wort.

Quality:
Very well made case. Very sturdy. More pedals should be built like this.

Value:
Good thing it is inexpensive. Kids might have fun mucking about with this, but for a pro it was a waste of cash.

Desirability:
Don't get this unit.

Sound:
Sound quality is good. No pop on bypass, etc. No hiss. When the effect is dialed in, it can be a very nice envelope sound. However, getting the sound is very difficult. Far too mmuch flexibility in shaping which creates a lot of unusable sounds. The range where good sounds exists is slim. That range needs much more control, nuance. The VU meter is useless. Power must be at least 200Ma. Forget a battery! Won't make good sounds!

Ease of Use:
Simply put, it is very difficult to find good sounds with this unit. Get a Q-tron, Mu-Tron or EBS IQ.

Support:
Did not call suppoort. no need.

Overall:
I don't like this unit and would not buy it again. I won't use it at all.

"A Piece"
Desirability:
Totally unsexy

Sound:
The sound might have been Ok, but it died after a 4 inch fall. And never worked so well the short time I had it.
