No longer available at zZounds
No ordinary USB interface, the Apogee Quartet gives you 4 world-class mic preamps, pristine A/D and D/A conversion, high-resolution metering, and more.

When two preamps isn't enough and eight is too many, consider meeting in the middle of the I/O road with the Apogee Quartet USB audio interface. This 4-in/8-out audio interface is a welcome compromise between Apogee's other desktop recording choices, offering Mac, Windows PC, and iOS-based musicians and producers an easy way to connect up to four microphones, keyboards, instruments, or line inputs. A quartet of mic preamps, superior AD/DA conversion technology, high-res metering, iOS control software, and a must-touch controller knob round out the package.

The Hub of Your Studio

It's up to you to decide how much I/O you need, but chances are that the Quartet's four ins and eight outs are all that you'll use for most applications. With this one-knob audio interface, you can plug in up to four key pieces of gear, connect a MIDI controller, and then expand with up to eight digital inputs via Lightpipe. Monitor and mix in stereo with as many as three sets of speakers or in 5.1 surround.

4 World-Class Mic Pres and 192 kHz Converters

Four built-in microphone preamplifiers give your recordings a professional boost, with the detailed sound and low noise that Apogee is known for. With the Quartet's mic pres in tow, you're in for pristine audio capture no matter what kind of mic you use. And high-end 192 kHz/24-bit AD/DA converters make sure that your audio sounds awesome.

Luxe Yet Minimal Design

read more Intuitive to use, the Apogee Quartet features QuickTouch pads for selecting inputs and outputs, dual color screens that display critical I/O info, and a single prominent controller knob for driving all parameters. A smart wedge design keeps the front panel at the ideal 45-degree tilt so you don't have to lean over the interface to see what's what.

In the box, you get a 2-meter USB cable, universal power supply with standard 3 pin-IEC cable, QuickStart Guide, and a Lightning iOS cable.

Manage Your Quartet from Afar with Maestro

Make the most of Maestro control software for iOS, which lets you access all Quartet hardware parameters from the touch screen on your iPad or iOS device. With Maestro's help, you can do all your tweaking, monitoring, and mixing at a comfortable distance. Moreover, when hooked up to an external power source, the Quartet provides a direct digital connection so you can charge up your iPad while you record.

Plays Nicely with Your DAW

Apogee's Quartet is compatible with any Core Audio-compatible application on Mac, including Ableton Live, Apple Final Cut, Apple GarageBand, Apple Logic, Avid Pro Tools 9 and 10, MOTU Digital Performer, PreSonus Studio One, Steinberg Cubase, and Steinberg Nuendo.
