Alvarez AF30 Folk Acoustic Guitar

The slender shape and mahogany back and sides of the AF30 give this guitar excellent clarity and snap.

The AF30 from Alvarez sets the standard in bang for the buck. With standard features normally only found on high-end instruments, the Alvarez AF30 is the best-sounding folk-body acoustic guitar you can buy for under two hundred bucks. At the heart of the Alvarez AF30's amazing tone is its hand-sanded scalloped bracing, which allows the top to resonate more freely without compromising strength & stability.

Alvarez's bi-level bridge puts more down-pressure on the saddle, creating a more efficient energy transfer from the strings to the top, giving you more volume than you ever thought possible from a guitar in this price range. Alvarez also refined their neck profile, with a thinner, faster neck that plays easier, yet still feels solid in your hands. The folk-sized body makes it more comfortable to play than a standard dreadnought, and also gives the Alvarez AF30 its distinct tone, with a balanced bass response and throaty midrange.

If you're looking for a first guitar that won't hold you back, or a better-sounding, faster playing acoustic that fits into your budget, look no further- the Alvarez AF30 is the one.

For under 250bucks this is as good as it gets. Solid spruce top, decent fit and finish on mine, very ez to navigate on the super comfy neck, bone nut! Only drawback, wish it had a gigbag. Sounds surprisingly nice.
