Alvarez AD70 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar

The AD70 uses a hand-sanded scalloped bracing pattern to achieve an outstanding resonance. The rosewood back and sides add excellent depth to the sound.

If you've always lusted after the lush, rich tonal textures that only rosewood can produce, but thought you couldn't afford it, the AD70 from Alvarez will change your mind! At the heart of the Alvarez AD70's amazing tone is its hand-sanded scalloped bracing, which allows the top to resonate more freely without compromising strength & stability.

Alvarez's rosewood bi-level bridge puts more down-pressure on the bone saddle, creating a more efficient energy transfer from the strings to the top, giving you more volume than you ever thought possible from a guitar in this price range. And with its hand-selected rosewood back & sides, you get all that big, warm bottom-end rosewood is known for at a groundbreaking price.

Alvarez also refined their neck profile, with a thinner, faster neck that plays easier, yet still feels solid in your hands. The Alvarez AD70 is a tone machine that's just waiting to take your playing to the next level.

Was looking for a mid-range decent Dred to add to my collection of a Takamine MIJ Ef441 and Taylor 712CE 12 Fret. Read some good reviews on this one and watched some youtube videos and decided to take the plunge. Arrived quickly and packaged nicely. Inspected it and couldn't find a smudge or quality/cosmetic issue anywhere on it. Spruce top had a good looking darker color/grain pattern and laminated rosewood sides.back looked great. Tuned it up to pitch and action was perfect (5/64) along with neck relief. A few strums in and I am a believer and on the bandwagon. Plays easily (love that it has the 1 3/4 nut width which is hard to find on low to mid range priced guitars). Great power/projection when you dig into it and a good amount of bass/growl. Certainly a good full balanced sound and not thin or hollow like you find on some in this price range. Fits the mold of a really good dred probably worth 3-4x what you end pay for this one.
