"Major Wireless Fun!"

Feature:
The bodypack: Made of lightweight but sturdy plastic, has one 3-position slide switch for ON-MUTE-OFF (can be hard to read in dim light), a hidden mic/line switch and a rotary pot for gain control. This control seems to have ample range to it and should accomodate multiple level inputs. There is only one LED for battery low indication. The receiver: Metal cover, plastic front. Very lightweight and rack mountable, which is a plus. Has various LEDs for signal and antenna selection. Also has automatic squelch, which is a nice touch. Came with the instrument cable, wall wart, alkaline batteries storage pouch.

Quality:
I have already taken apart the bodypack and the receiver (hey, I'm a tech!) and noticed very good and sturdy build quality. Everything seems well soldered and anchored where required. No real complaints here.

Value:
Hey, I got a great deal on this wireless and think $200 for this type of UHF system is a steal.

Desirability:
Simply put, "Get one of these!" I couldn't make this thing drop out -I walked outside to my front and back yards while playing my guitar, and my amp was in the back room of my house. It's great and seems to have real robust signal quality along with great sound. I did not do an interference test, however, and I did not gig with it yet. The bodypack takes 2 regular ol' AA batteries, which was THE major selling point to me. I have mine running fine on 1800 mAH NiMH AAs. Most other wireless bodypacks use 9 volts, which I hate because they're so dang expensive and these wireless units eat them for lunch! This thing literally will only cost you pennies to maintain once you get a couple pairs of rechargeable batteries and a charger.

Sound:
Great full-range sound and dynamic range. Can hear a very faint hiss only when gain is cranked to clipping. Tried with bass, too. Sounds as good as a cable- 99% won't be able to tell. Don't worry about this wireless sucking your lows down. Did not try with 5 string bass, only 4 string. Also should sound fine for keyboards, mics, and other instruments, although I didn't try those specifically.

Support:
One of the selling points for this wireless for me is that I own several AKG pieces and have always been able to get parts very easily for them. Plus, they shipped them fast. AKG also has a good internet forum for their products, which is manned by their reps, too.

Overall:
Okay, to sum up: 1. Low "blemished" price from this site. 2. Great signal strength (more than guitar bug, too- 100 mW of power) 3. Excellent low-hiss sound. 4. Very cheap upkeep cost. 5. 30 hour battery life. 6. AKG quality
