D12 VR Reference Kick Drum and Bass Microphone

Specifically designed for kick drum, AKG's D12 VR cardioid dynamic microphone with original C414 transformer has an ultra-thin diaphragm that enhances low-frequency performance. Without phantom power, the microphone delivers the pure character of the sound source. And with phantom power enabled, one of three switchable active-filter presets can be used to quickly adapt the microphone response to suit your desired kick drum sound. In fact, the D12 VR's versatile tone-shaping abilities earned it a 2012 Best of Show rating from ProSound Network.

Two C214 Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphones

Designed as a cost-effective alternative to the industry-leading C414 microphones, AKG's C214 microphone uses the same 1" dual capsule as the legendary C414, but in a read more single-diaphragm, cardioid-only design. The C214's edge-terminated capsule delivers a highly detailed, up-front sound that brings out every nuance of practically any voice or instrument. And with its switchable -20 dB attenuation pad and low cut filter, the microphone can be used on stage for close-up miking for even very loud applications like drum overheads. The C 214's roadworthy construction includes a modern scratch-resistant finish, a dent-resistant, double mesh, all metal grille, and a gold-plated XLR-type output. " ... delivers a highly detailed, up-front sound ... very accurate and solid bottom end, incredible dynamic range ... an excellent choice." --FutureMusic (10 out of 10 rating)

C451 B Condenser Microphone

The AKG C451 B microphone is the current model in a series that dates back to 1969. Responding to growing demand, AKG made the C451 B with the same acoustic performance as the original C451 EB + CK 1, but with dramatically improved specs. Using an extremely light diaphragm, the C451 B is almost totally insensitive to handling noise. Its all-metal body provides excellent protection from RF interference and high reliability for excellent results under almost all conditions. The C451 B is excellent for accurately capturing signals rich in transients such as drums.

Four D40 Dynamic Instrument Microphones

Designed for drums and percussion, the AKG D40 microphone's rugged, all-metal body is also built to withstand the rigors of the road. The D40's patented Varimotion diaphragm's deep-drawing process allows the diaphragm itself to be fine-tuned with no need for tuning resonators, leading to a quantum leap in audio performance.

Four K&M 24030 Microphone Holders

Easily mount microphones directly to your drums with this set of four K&M 24030 microphone holders. These unique mic mounts keep your microphones in place with 3/8" threads, while rubber inserts to absorb shock and noise. The attached thumbscrew means there are no parts to lose.
