"A great product for both vocals and guitar"

This is a great microphone for vocalist with strong/weak voices. I work with two opera style singers. Their voices are so strong that they need to be away from the mic. The AKG picks up their voices and reproduces it very well. I also work with a woman who's voice is still weak from strained vocal cords. This has been a blessing to us becasue she can still sing but at a much lower volume. Our regular microphones are Shure SM58's. The AKG just picks up my vocalist much better. I have also used this to mic my acoustic guitar. I am very pleased with this microphone. Great deal for $179.00

Quality:
top quality for price, best in market

Value:
best bang for your bucks, sounds like the four or five hungy more. They don`t mke it any more because they`re too good for the price so now you have to buy akg c1000 thats 100 bucks more

Sound:
greaty sound. Sound quality out does it self, compared to shure 58 no comparison. It allows you to sound proffesional. It`s great live and in the studio, but recommend in band situation that all mikes are the same, regardless of brand

About This Product!
Description
Docs
AKG Emotion Series dynamic microphones are extremely popular among musicians. A new condenser microphone in black and gold finish has now been added to the line. The C 900 is a high-quality condenser microphone for vocalists and provides many unique features at an excellent price/performance ratio.

Features
The transducer case is 24-carat gold-plated for optimum protection from corrosion and humidity. The entire transducer element is shock mounted in a special elastic ring.

Extremely insensitive to handling noise.

A resonance weight tunes the transducer resonance frequency to a value where handling noise is almost totally eliminated.

The supplied Presence Boost Adapter can be installed to boost the 5 to 9 kHz range by 2 to 4 dB for even more brilliant high-frequency sound and better intelligibility. This improvement adds to the microphone's versatility in vocal performance use as well as overhead, cymbal, or hi-hat miking.

A patented manufacturing technology (US Pat. No. 4,790,021) ensures an optimally even electrode surface. The results are highly accurate response and high gain before feedback.

XLR connector is 24-carat hard-gold plated for exceptionally reliable electrical contact.

The wire-mesh grill is made of first-rate spring steel to provide added protection from the hardships of touring.
