Blemished

This is typically a customer return. This inventory includes all parts, components, manuals (hard copy or downloadable) and the full factory warranty. It is guaranteed to work perfectly, but it has a cosmetic blemish. It may be less attractive than Warehouse Resealed inventory, but it's priced even lower! This inventory is a great value.

"Excellent sound, High Quality!"

Feature:
The number of features are perfect - not excessive and not too bare boned either. I love the crossfader curve adjustments. The equalizers are smooth and are great for tweaking with the bass/mids/treble. I would have preferred to have a split headphone cue, but the standard stereo cueing is more than adequate. The Penny Giles crossfader is smooth as silk and does not bleed at all. It has plenty of LINE and PHONO inputs and XLR and RCA master outputs.

Quality:
This thing is built like a tank. As soon as you pick it up, it's like a small black box - indestructible. All the buttons have a nice rubbery feel to it and do not have the cheap plasticy feel to them. The faceplate and construction design is very professional and up to par with other high end mixers. The design/paint looks a bit boring, but I rather have a mixer that performs well rather than one that looks good.

Value:
I will say that this mixer is worth every penny so in that regard it's a great value. This is a high end mixer, and it's up their with Rane, Urei and others. Although for this price you can get many other mixers with more bells and whistles, but for this price and sound quality and the quality is hard to beat.

Desirability:
Esthetically a bit blah. This won't win a supermodel competition, but sure will knock the socks off many mixers in this price range. I would buy one again if it got stolen/lost.

Sound:
The sound out this mixer is incredibly clear and without distortion. The bass is rich and smooth unlike other lower end mixers. The mids and highs are very crisp. The equalizers are excellent and precise. The sound alone is worth the money paid for this mixer.

Ease of Use:
The mixer is very simple in design, perhaps a little too simple. Yet I prefer a simple mixer than one with tons of cheap looking buttons and flashing lights. This mixer is very clean looking and intuitive to use. The crossfader curves take a little adjustment and experimenting to figure out what suits what mixing style best.

Support:
I have not needed to contact Allen & Heath so far. I have had this mixer and done a few parties with it, and so far it's performed without any problems. The warranty is for 1 year, but I recommend extended warranty. Extended warranty from the retail store is very reasonably priced and for a mixer of this price, it's additional peace of mind.

Overall:
Highly recommended: From a DJ with 10 years of club experience. Pros: Excellent sound Good Quality Good value Cons: Would have liked to see a sampler or Effects built in for this price. Would have liked to see Split cue in headphone section. Esthetically a bit boring.

"Good, solid scratch/battle mixer."

Feature:
If you are just into scratching or battling this is a really great deal; the option to go hamster style is really easy on this thing, all the crossfaders are reversible, which is really convenient for us hamster style enthusiasts. Like I said though, this is strictly for battle/scratch DJing, if you want to do mixing or combination of scratch and mix look at the other allen & heath models.

Quality:
This thing is pretty durable; I have not had to replace any crossfaders or get it repaired (thank goodness) and all your really need to do is clean the crossfader slots with some compressed air once in awhile.

Value:
Good price I guess, Allen & Heath makes a good product; I got this mixer for used but at the advertised price for here you could get a really decent Rane loaded with effects for mixing.

Desirability:
Reminds me of the older Vestax mixers in style, but I mean mixers are not supposed to look glamorous ha.

Sound:
Good, decent sound; really up to the quality of your monitors or amps and the condition or your decks and vinyls though.

Ease of Use:
Really quite simple to set up, it was the first mixer I got and I had it set up in about 10 minutes tops.

Support:
I haven't had the need for it, but Allen & Heath is a top electronics manufactu

Overall:
Good product; I'd try to find it used, and only really invest in it if you're going to be doing battle work or scratch work; for club mixing look into their other mixers or to other brands, because at this advertised price you can get a really nice club mixer from some other companies.

From inputs to outputs, Allen & Heath created Xone:02 to be the world's greatest battle / scratch mixer. The crossfader is a deluxe Penny & Giles VCA design, reversible, they all have contour controls and they can all be easily replaced by removing the steel faceplate. They've kept the fader area clear for action and they've kept controls like pan and EQ out of the way on low profile sliders. Even the transform switches can be rotated to work the way you like them. Don't go into battle with anything less.

Features
2 Dual Stereo Channels - Channels have RIAA [RCA] inputs, switchable to line, plus stereo line level inputs [RCA], each with gain control. Powerful 3 band 'music' EQ on sliders. Mic Channel - 2 XLR inputs with separate gain controls, on switch and 3 band EQ with HPF. Routes direct to mix outputs. FX insert on button

Stereo Mix Outputs - Balanced mix outputs on XLR with multi-point VCA level master control. The mix output level can be displayed on the 12 segment 3 colour peak reading bar meters
