Feature:
Full Size neck feels natural. At 4.5 lbs, I can play all day and not strain my neck or back.
Quality:
It appears to be well made. Tuners look guitar-ish, but holds it's tuning very well. Preamp controls are well placed and rugged.
Value:
I feel like I got my money's worth.
Desirability:
I like the look and size, but I bought it for it's sound and playability.
Sound:
The Escape has a nice, warm tone.
Ease of Use:
Perfect for my needs.
Support:
None needed as of this writing.
Overall:
My needs are not what most bass players want: I play one handed while playing a keyboard with my right hand (long story). My main rig is a Hammond B-3, and I play pedal and left hand bass. When I go portable for some club dates I still like a low, fat and sustaining sound, The Escape gives me that. Along with some effects pedals (Boss Compressor/Limiter and Boss Bass Equalizer) to compensate for playing one handed this bass fills the bottom end nicely. I don't even need to "pop" the strings: simple fingering works quite well (I do admit to shaving the bridge spacer - I like the strings close to the frets). This instrument may not suit everyone, but so far every bass player that's tried it has taken a real long time to put it back down......I guess that says something.

Sound:
I have to echo the praise of the player above....I saw his group the other night, and couldn't believe what a great sound he was getting playing ONE HANDED while also playing keyboard. Very good balance to the tone, and not tinny on the high end like some piezos I've heard. Very close to a Fender Jazz feel on the neck, and felt very solid for a 5 pound axe.
