"If you looking for a QUALITY GUITAR that sounds, feels and looks great look at the Taylor 414-CE....."

Feature:
Electronics on board are great....

Quality:
Taylor products is another name for quality... Cant beat the quality...

Value:
Definitely worth the price... When you buy quality you have to pay for it...

Desirability:
The feel of the guitar is outstanding.... Electronics are placed out of the way and are very easy to use....

Sound:
The sound is outstanding... Picking and struming brings out all the notes beautifully.... Own a Martin - which is great sounding also - but prefer the Taylor... Gald to have purchase one...

Ease of Use:
VERY playable. Had a novice over and let him play it and it sounded great even with his limited playing ability....

Support:
Never had any problem but the Taylor web site is very useful for obtaining informations that I may need...

Overall:
As I said before I own a Martin and went with my son to look at the Taylors... Once I sat and played the Taylor I immediately purchase him one... Being left handed - I can play both left and right handed guitars - I waited and purchase my Taylor 414CE left handed 2005 limited addition.... I just love the easiness of playing this guitar and if I would ever to lose it I would definitely purchase another one.... This is a guitar that I will keep for life...

"Outstanding Guitar"

Feature:
Loving that new Expression System.... dont know why some people complain you just have to dial it in correctly.... even when not dialed in correctly i have not had any problems....

Quality:
Ive ordered a couple of taylor and i give it a 9 because i have gotten 1 taylor that was not properly set up... and the fretts were not shaved so it cut my hands i sent it back with no problems to get a new one...

Value:
Guitars are so expensive these days but i have to say this is probably the best value for all around playing....

Desirability:
My old one got ran over by a car... : ( went right back out and bought the same one... thats how much i love this guitar series...

Sound:
The sound is great... it shares the Characteristics of both rosewood with its nice lows, and koa with its nice sparkling highs.... it definately sounds better than all the other taylor models from 314-714 at least to me.... the 814ce would be my holy grail tone but thats another 1200's more..

Ease of Use:
3 dials and strumming not much more to ease of use....

Overall:
Clearly one of the best guitars i have played.... 814ce would beat it by a little bit but the 814ce is much more...

News
The Taylor 414ce brings unique tone by pairing the quick, articulate response of Sitka spruce with the warmth and sparkle of Ovangkol. The tone is reminiscent of rosewood, yet entirely its own. Providing access to the upper registers of the fingerboard, the 414ce's soft Venetian cutaway is both practical and attractive, while the Taylor Expression System allows you to share your music with the world.

Grand Size
The Grand Auditorium combines the width and depth of a Dreadnought with a narrower waist. Its sleek design yields a strong treble zing across the tonal spectrum and sharpens the definition of individual notes. The Grand Auditorium is a strong fingerpicking guitar that also adapts well to medium strumming.

Taylor Expression System
Designed to faithfully reproduce your guitar's native tone, the Expression System utilizes patented Dynamic Sensorsto capture top and string vibration like never before. Created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer, Mr. Rupert Neve, the Taylor ES is seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound.

Fit & Finish
The finish used to create this guitar's textured satin back and sides and lustrous gloss top was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes. Available in natural finish.
