Feature:
Everthing I need. Allows easy access to your tone banks... has a great display for the tone bank in use (very cool).. nice pedal, stomp option to boost the sound, a built in tuner!
Quality:
This thing should be called the FBV shortTANK... it's really solid.
Why.. I reckon I could reverse over it in my car and it would keep cranking along.
Value:
personally I think the price tag is a bit much, considering it doesn't process the sound, it just manipulates the amp's (flextone III in my case) existing features..
I actually paid about $100 more for my flextone III amp.. but I got a bargain.
Desirability:
Heck, my girlfriend saw it and went 'wow!'
It does look very professional.. not a cheapo piece of plastic like my previous pedals.
Sound:
Actually, this should be N/A I believe... from what I know of this product, it merely enables you to manipulate the sounds that already exist on your amp...
Ease of Use:
piece of cake. No need to read a manual.. just plug it in via the rj45 and stomp.
I believe it's quite hard to set the text on the screen for a particular bank, but that's irrelevant to me, as I use the line6 edit software via MIDI on my PC, which allows me to trivially set sounds and tone bank names.
Support:
N/A
I doubt I'll need it..
Overall:
As long as I have this amp, I will own this board.. it's great.. rock solid.. featureful.
I take off a point because of the cost..

Feature:
Display is easy to read, even on stage. Wah wah pedal works good and sounds very authentic. All controls are easy to use and find on the board. The ability to bring up your next tone on the board and hold it awhile before finalizing the switch is great. All changes are instantaneous and silent. Wish it had a "Favorite" button like the full size floorboard, and an adjustable tuner would be nice.
Quality:
This unit is built for the road. All steel construction and heavy duty footswitches mean a sturdy piece of gear. Have had no switch failures or even stumbles, works every time. Only possible glitch could be the cable that connects to amp, it has a tendency to pull out of the Floorboard if you don't seat it firmly. A small tug tells you if it's locked in.
Value:
It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny.$300 Remember, this is not an effects processor, it is an AMP CONTROLLER. You still have to go to the amp to make adjustments to the selected tone, or to change/tweak effects. But once you've got your tones locked in memory and volume set it's all gravy from there!
Desirability:
It's pretty cool looking, and the soft glow of the display looks cool on a dark stage. First timers are always pretty stoked by all the presets available, and the delay and effects too. I consider it a neccessity when using a Flextone III. Don't leave home without it!
Sound:
Absolutely essential to the Flextone III. Really brings out the versatility of the amp, and makes it MUCH easier to use. Some of the 36 preset tones are awesome, and you can always change ones you don't like.
Support:
C'mon, it's a Line 6! They have an extensive support system, and most questions can be answered on-line. A quick phone call will handle the rest.
Overall:
I see no reason to switch to anything else, not even the standard Floorboard. The construction insures a long useful life for it. I'll be keeping the whole rig for a long, long time!
