"Superb"

Feature:
Every thing you need inside. Monitor just need power cables !!

Quality:
I don't think this monitor can be in better quality!

Value:
I'm really OK with the Price. Very well Value for money.

Desirability:
just like I said . I WANT IT

Sound:
The Sound is Just Great . You'll hear things that you never have been . Reverb Tails, Delay Feedback tails, Glitches, Low Level sound in the Mix, And must Detailed Things in you mix . For About Quality I'll Say the best I've ever Heard. Between Genelec 8020 ,8050 - Adam A7, Roland Rsm-90, M-Audio Bx8 , Bx5 BX5a I prefer the HS80m Sound . What it have ? -Detailed Sound in Mid and High. -True and Powerful LOW Response. tight and Controlled Low Sound. even -In Low level monitoring you can hear low frequencies. -No AIR sound from Monitor Vent. -Very Good control Over LOW-MID-HI Freq with EQ switches in back of the box . In my opinion and listening experiences, Yamaha Hs80m, Genelec 1030, Tannoy 6D are very Nice sounded monitoring system. Go for this 3 !!!

Support:
Don't needed one yet.

"Great Stuff"

Feature:
I just put everything on default and started from there....but if you want to fiddle, there are plenty of knobs. I was not please with the fact that I had to buy the cables myself. It wasn't expensive, but come on people.....

Quality:
I haven't had them too long, but they look and feel like quality. It's Yamaha by the way.

Value:
Great Value!

Desirability:
I already bought them and no regrets!!!

Sound:
I first listened to these at the local music store. They didn't sound really. That's coz I had bought along all the songs I had "mixed" on my small computer speakers. But then bought along my favourite hip hop songs and I (as well as my friends) was blown away by how clear the sound was. I was a bit concerened about the bass though, only to realise at how bass "heavy" my old computer speakers were, thus leaving my mixes thin in the bass department. I listen to my track on my ipod while at work and they sound as if i was still infront of the yamaha's at home. I'm glad I waited and bought these. Don't waiste your money on cheap monitors, you'll only be frustrated. By the way, my room has no acoustic treatmnet at all.....

Ease of Use:
They're speakers....

Support:
Haven't had to use them. But the manual is a good touch.

Overall:
Good monitors for any price. More expensive doesn't mean better, I have learnt that the hard way before.

About This Product!
Description
Docs
The new HS Series powered monitors were designed to be true studio reference monitors in the tradition of the famous NS10Ms. When choosing your next pair of near field reference monitors, remember it's not just important that they sound good; they have to be an honest reference for your mix. The new HS Series of reference monitors were designed to give you exceptionally flat response so you can really trust what you hear. That means that mixes that sound good on Yamaha HS speakers will sound good on anything. In fact, that's the ultimate test of a reference monitor. Even better than that, HS series speakers not only sound good, they look great, too.

The HS Series is a two-way, internally powered speaker system designed to provide affordable, high quality reference monitoring for all types of recording and multimedia applications -- home studios, computer-based music production, gaming systems, keyboards rigs and personal computer systems. All products are sold and packaged individually, making it easy to build flexible monitor setups and 5.1 systems.

The 120-watt HS80M (8-in. cone and 1-in. dome tweeter) is housed in a bass reflex-type cabinet, and reproduces surprisingly tight low end and smooth, high frequency response to beyond 20 kHz. Inputs include a balanced XLR and 1/4-in. phone jack. In addition to master level controls, each speaker has trim switches that allow you to custom-tailor low, mid and high frequency response for different applications.

HS Series cabinets look as great as they sound. Enclosures are constructed of high-quality MDF material and a multiple layer finish that minimizes resonance. Design elements include a black finish and lighted Yamaha tuning fork logo. White polypropylene woofer cones recall the look of the classic Yamaha NS10M, and include low-damping rubber surrounds and full magnetic shielding.
