"RAIN RAIN - Your product is getting old and going down the drain."

Feature:
The GUI is nice and clean but what you see is what you get. Not many cue points or loops. No Midi control that really blows. Only can play certain audio files. Sometimes that gets to be a pain. Nothing that flashy. Old school usb teck ( they should spend some money for firewire. Mic input is 1/4" could be xlr. Wires included are not the best. No ways to customize the interface. The vynal code is only 1khz which is now crap compared to the new products out there. Well thats enoghf for now go compare it with some others not just because its popular. Go check out ones with better specs and try them for yourself you will feel and see a big difference. Sorry serato!

Quality:
Solid box. Good program i guess. Its not the worst one i seen.

Value:
Bad. You can get better stuff now that cost less or about the same. I am pissed I got this first.

Desirability:
THe GUI looks good! Thats it!

Sound:
The sound is good. The only thing is drop outs. But since this is about the sound you get what you get in your sound library on your computer. Not really the interfaces problem. Unless they added some digital inputs and outputs. Lets get out of the RCA conections world.

Ease of Use:
That is all it got. If you only like a few features.

Support:
They were not that good about anything.

Overall:
I got this about 2 months ago and now I am switching anyone want to buy it?

Style of Music: Anything ( What do you think u do with turntables????)

"If you're considering buying a DJ CD player, reconsider."

Feature:
The only thing I wish it had is a way to record mixes within the program itself. MIDI support and a sampler would be nice but that's not really within the scope of the product.

Quality:
Totally solid.

Value:
The stanton setup does a little bit more for the same money, but SSL is much more solid and responsive.

Desirability:
Other DJs wish they had this... I only have to carry 2 records and a laptop with me to shows.

Sound:
Transparent audio. If you have good source files, it's impossible to tell it from vinyl.

Ease of Use:
Takes a few minutes for setup (make sure you do the phono calibration in the manual), after that it's really intuitive. Read the manual, there are a lot of really convenient shortcut keys that aren't that obvious (but there are on-screen buttons you can click on if you don't want to read it).

Support:
Free email support that gets back to you within 24 hours. Free upgrades to the software as long as the hardware is supported.

Overall:
After having this for a year and a half, I can't even think about going back. It totally changed how I DJ.

News
Scratch LIVE is the ultimate software and hardware solution for bridging the analog world of vinyl and the digital world of computer audio files. Using regular turntables or CD players, you can scratch and mix files from your Mac or Windows XP computer's CD or hard drive, add in a live mic input for scratching, and even bypass to standard vinyl if you wish. Scratch LIVE is the complete digital solution for the vinyl junkie - take your entire collection wherever you go and leave your precious vinyl at home!

The Scratch LIVE USB interface connects one or two standard vinyl or CD turntables to your computer. This extremely rugged, portable, high quality, bus-powered USB interface features two switchable phono or line inputs, a microphone input, two line outputs, and pass thru outputs for the phono/line and mic.

The included 12 in. vinyl records (2nd Edition) each have Serato's exclusive and unique control signal which allows Scratch LIVE to track the motion of the record, simulating the same movement with digital audio. Due to Serato's proprietary control scheme, the result is a feel and sound indistinguishable from playing vinyl. As a producer and DJ, the track you finished today can be played on a real turntable tonight.
