The heart of the crafty Trademark 30 is a modified version of the super flexible SansAmp GT2 pedal design. Construct your tone by selecting amp character, gain structure and speaker type, and then use the drive controls and active three-band EQ to nail your sound. The 30-watt output is plenty loud for practice and monitoring but the balanced XLR and 1/4 in. outputs bring the big tones of this little combo to the studio mixer or PA system. Bedroom, rehearsal, studio or club, the Trademark 30 will prove it's a giant amongst compact combos. Learn More...

Tech 21 TM60 Trademark 60 Customer Review

Feature:
2-channel, dynamit reverb (yah, I'd like a separate reverb and boost myself but, oh well), "bite" & "weep"...I only gave it a 9 because there is not a well for my tumbler of Jack. Seriously, I would like some tilt-back legs, a-la-Twin, because she is very small and really needs to be up off the floor for maximum effect. Even so, you put her in a situation where she is dancin' with a MB and Marshall and she holds her own.

Quality:
I can only speak from over 40 years experience with amps overall as I have only had my Trademark60 for three months. But the no frills, tank-like construction give me great hope for a durable product...but only time will tell.

Value:
In my experience, this product is the absolute best 'bang for your buck' you can get in guitar amplification.

Desirability:
One guy said, "Pretty little girl with a dirty mouth!" The only thing I can add to that is she is wearing 5" stiletto heels and stockings! Come to Papa!!!

Sound:
I gave it a '9' only because a '10' only happens in my head. I had been agonizing for months over a new amp. Had almost decided on one of the mid-sized Boogie flavors and forget paying rent or eating for a while. I got wind of this company back East that had this 'modelling' amp that really worked. Yah, right, I thought...heard that tune before. Checked out Tech21's site and checked out the sound bytes these...I ordered one the next day. The MB and Marshall emulation are really good...the Fender tube thing and Vox thing are downright scary....close your eyes and you are sitting in front of a '65 DeLuxe or Royal Guardsman, depending on the settings. Spin a couple of dials, punch the "Weep" and you got a warm, thick tone that will melt butter...I'm in love...and I have about $1000 left in my pocket!

Support:
Clapton is not god...Lloyd is!!! He has put up with more crap from me even before I actually purchased my Trademark60 with stupid questions and wanting my hand held while I talked myself into trying something new (buying this amp like a pig in a poke with no personal experience). Their site says to expect at least 24-hours for a response. Listen, I have, on occasion, had Lloyd, or one of his mates, calling me on the phone almost as soon as I email them. If for no other reason, this company is my new home!

Overall:
I don't expect to own another amp in my lifetime, or at least another brand. I started playing when I was 11 and I am 52 now...and I am completely satisfied with my Tech21 Trademark60. What more can I say?

"Superb amp with wonderful tones"

Feature:
The footswitch changes channels and engages the boost which simply boosts volume for soloing. The pedal could be bigger - it is easy to change channels instead of hitting the boost - can be awkward in the middle of a song. Like everyone else I wish the reverb was on a separate circuit to the boost. It also engages the effects loop - I don't use this - but it has its uses I can see that.

Quality:
Very well made indeed

Value:
Very good. This amp has the sound quality of a real custom-made high end amp

Desirability:
Fantastic, well made product

Sound:
This is an amp with a superb set of sounds. Using the cleaner channel you can get a great Vox AC30, Fender Reverb and general Mesa Boogie type sounds. Channel 2 will give you all sorts of Marshall type sounds. I use this with Les Paul and a Strat and find that it is easy to imitate the Yardbirds, Classic Clapton and John Mayall type blues sounds, as well as covering a sort of high sustain Brian May type of sound. I have had the amp for over a year and I am still finding new sounds on it. If pushed, I would say the best sounds are the Channel 1 AC30/Fender type sounds - the Marshall sound is good, but perhaps not quite up to the classic Marshall tube sound - but very nice nonetheless. I don't play heavy metal, and although the amp can be pumped up well it is not really for the metal fiend.

Ease of Use:
The amp is both easy to use and difficult. The controls are completely understandable and yet there is not much on the amp to help you to find sound types. The instructions help but only so much - you really have to fiddle with it. In the end you learn. The manual is good as far as it goes, although one can argue with their suggestions for amp settings to sound like famous guitar tones. I don't agree with their suggestion for the high sustain Brian May type sound for example. You can get a good sound like it, but not the way they tell you to.

Support:
No idea as I have had no problems with mine except the main power neon has gone already.

Overall:
This is the ideal amp to have at a gig to get any sound you might want within the classic range of rock or blues. A truly professional sound - some are absolutely gorgeous and compare with the best there is. This amp has all the advantages of a solid state design with the sound you expect from a tube amp - no kidding.

About This Product!
Description
From Our Catalog
From vintage to modern, Tech 21's Trademark 60 offers the industry's most desirable tube amp sounds, and provides the flexibility to create your own signature sounds as well. This 60-watt combo guitar amplifier has 2 channels. The Boost function expands the capability of the 2 channels by increasing each of their output levels up to 9dB, providing 4 footstwitchable sound options.

Built into the Trademark 60, is Tech 21's highly-acclaimed SansAmpTM Tube Amplifier Emulation circuitry, which encompasses all aspects of multiply-miked tube amp rigs. By incorporating this proprietary technology with a Tech21 special design 12 in. speaker, the Trademark 60 sounds as big and smooth as a vintage 4x12 cabinet. For studio and live applications, the SansAmp circuitry also enables the Trademark 60 to be run direct to the mixer of a recorder or PA system.

Channel 1 offers a range of Fender-styles, from sparkling clean, to semi-dirty, to saturated Tweed-style. It has its own Drive, Punch, and Level controls. Punch sets the amount of midrange break-up and overdrive. There's also a Bite button which tightens the low end and add brightness.

Channel 2 delivers amp sounds ranging from traditional Marshall-style, to Mesa/Boogie Rectifier-style, to Vox AC30-style. It has its own Drive, Growl, and Level controls. Growl is a powerful and sophisticated midrange control. It can give you that scooped-out, heavy sound without making your guitar sound thin, and without any loss of volume. There's a Weep button, which increases the amount of even harmonics and thickens the sound. It provides a "singing" quality like that of a Class A tube amp.

The Master Section includes Low and High EQ controls. The Boost and Reverb functions can be accessed via the footswitch - either individually or in tandem by utilizing the Link button. For solos, in particular, this unique feature gives you the ability of increasing the size of your sound, as well as the volume.

Included with the Trademark 60, is a triple-function footswitch to alternate between channels, engage the Effect Loop, and activate the Boost and Reverb functions. Tech 21's footswitch is engineered to utilize any standard 1/4 in. instrument or speaker cable vs. the usual problematic custom mulit-pin connector. Other features include a full-length, top-of-the-line Accutronics 3-spring reverb; an XLR Direct Output; a Headphone Output that doubles as a 1/4 in. direct out should an XLR input not be available on your recorder; and a courtesy power outlet so you can neatly secure your effects in the back of the amp.

The exceptionally versatile Trademark 60 gives you a truckload of big amp sounds in an affordable, cost-effective, 36 lb. combo. Above all, the Trademark 60 delivers consistent, professional quality sound at home, in the garage, on stage, and in the studio
