"heavy duty!!"

very solid indeed and it looks cool.
by pressing the FX button you can switch the effects on/off and by press and hold the bypass for about 3 sec. you get the tuner
if you're using it with the mpx g2.
there's a edit button on the back
to calibrate your expression pedal etc..
if you own a mpx g2 without the mpxr1,
well save some money, and buy it quick.
trust me.

"A must have for the MPX G2"

Solid construction. Metal footswitches and chassis. MIDI In/Out/Through on the pedal, along with an input for an expression pedal. The only thing I would change is the physical shape of the expression pedal. It's hooked upper lip tends to easily grab guitar cords.

A single cable provides power and 2-way communication with the MPX 1* - dedicated stomp-box style buttons and LEDs give you complete access to the entire arsenal of MPX 1 effects. Don't have an MPX 1 yet? Use the R1 as a stand-alone MIDI remote controller. Either way, you get all the great features you expect from Lexicon.

The MPX 1 for dedicated reverb combined with studio quality effects - the MPX R1 for expressive control - the perfect choice for studio or live applications. The MPX 1 features 56 Pitch, Chorus, EQ, Modulation, Delay, and Reverb effects for a total of 200 preset programs all available from the MPX R1 MIDI Remote Controller.

External control inputs: 1/4 in. T/R/S connector supports up to 3 on/off switches; 1/4 in. T/R/S connector for external expression pedal

Internal relays: 1/4 in. T/R/S jack connected to 2 internal programmable relays

MIDI Interface: 7-pin DIN connector provides phantom power and 2-way MIDI communication with the MPX 1 or MPX G2 5-pin DIN connectors for MIDI THRU and IN

Expression pedal: Vintage mechanical design, all steel construction, programmable toe switch

MIDI functions: MIDI bank and program select for up to 300 programs; Switches and pedal(s) can be individually set to transmit any controller. The status of each MIDI switch is indicated with a green LED. Tap tempo can be transmitted as MIDI Clock

Relay mapping: Different relay states can be memorized for each of 990 MIDI program numbers. Relays can operate as on/off 1-4 or as 2 independent on/off switches.

MPX functions: When connected to an MPX G2 or MPX 1 (V2.0) via 7-pin cable, LEDs automatically display the following each time a new program is loaded: Program number; Master Bypass state; A/B state; Tempo rate; State of each effect block (Pitch, Chorus, EQ, Mod, Delay, Reverb on MPX 1; Gain, Chorus, Delay, Effect 1, Effect 2, EQ, Reverb on MPX G2); effect on=green, effect bypassed=red, effect not active=off.

The state of any active effect can be instantly changed by pressing its associated switch.

Dedicated switches control A/B and tap.
