Feature:
I give it a 10 because they threw in the chorus functions as well. Cant do much with those functions, no knobs to turn, just one sound, except for the pedal. But it was nice of Digitech to throw in something extra.
The ease of pitching excatly what you want with the expression pedal is woth mentioning. It`s very easy to pitch around with the expression pedal, and if you`ve set it to one octave up it lands exactly on the octave when you press it all the way back. I was impressed with that straight away when I got it, though you should expect it to be this good when it has the price tag it has.
Quality:
Indestruckable. I dont worry about breaking it anymore, because if it was breakable it would have been broken by now.
Value:
If a multieffect pedal/workstation like GNX4 has an equally good Whammy function I would rather recommend a multieffect one. But for me and my needs, this is the effect I use the most, only second to distortion.
Desirability:
It has good sex appeal, but it wuold have been much sexier if they removed the knob and put in a button for each effect instead. Then the switching would be much easier, since there are so few effects anyway.
Sound:
I love it. The only problem is that I get crappier sound when I pitch more than one or two strings at the same time. But to play fast riffs on two strings with the octave pitch on automatically boosts the riff coolness.
Support:
no problem with nothing. When the product is so good you dont need support I give it a 10.
Overall:
By using the octave pitch and the quint and ters all my riffs get cooler. Full chords sounds like crapp when they are pitched, but not the chorus functions. So if you want to pitch chords then buy a 12 string instead.
I love the octave pitch. Try it. Just play what you normally play and get that old "wow it really makes all my riffs cooler" Whammy feelin`.
I`m looking very much forward to getting my GNX3 so I can try out the expression pedal with wah and whammy together.
