Feature:
I kind of wish it had a little more inlay or something on the twelth fret like "the Work Horse" or a inlay of a stallion rareing up now don't steal my Idea Gibson!...lol...
Quality:
they should have put a 15 on that rating! thats what I would have picked!
Value:
Well I don't know what a new one sounds like? I have a 1954 model j-45 and I was surprised of its value when I purchased it I wouldnt have dreamed it would be worth as much as it is and it wil only increase over the years!Won;t ever sell it!!!

Feature:
Finish is awesome. LOVE the sunburst. I added pearl gotoh tuners, a custom inlay truss rod cover and some bone/pearl bridge pins...small touches that give my j45 some more character. From the facory it looks great, but no-frills.
Quality:
Fantastic. Mine is 5 years old and I swear it keep sounding better and better.
Value:
I noticed the average new price in 06 was $1800, now in 07, its $2000. Mine was $1300 new. You do the math.
Desirability:
I LOVE the Gibson sunburst, the round shoulder looks (to me) way sexier than a square shoulder acoustic. It looks great on stage. I always get comments on how "cool" it is. I like my Taylor, still own it, but I don't like "yellow" guitar finishes. Plus, the Gib sounds better to me.
Sound:
Rich, expressive, loud when you need it, ton of character when played gently. I've been using D'Adario Nickel strings on it-- you want to hear this thing sing? I recommend trying some nickel strings. Wholly smoke! I used to play a Taylor, which was reccomended to me for a first (used) guitar. All my bluegrass friends play them. They all sound too bright and tinny for my taste. I put nickel strings on the Taylor, then got this J45 and it stands far and above for my style and flavor (americana-ish).
Ease of Use:
duh. just play it. the neck is perfect for my small-ish hands.
Support:
Havn't dealt directly w.Gibson.
Overall:
I will never sell this guitar. I'll probably sell the Taylor.
