"Wooo a tuner"

Well, it does what a tuner should. It works just fine. Nothing special about really, but its a tuner. What do you expect? This thing won't break and I've gigged with it many a gig. Just fine.

"it is a good first tuner for a beginner - basic but good."

the price is the the thing that is attractive. It's auto function sometimes says the wrong string, but it does give the right result (figure that one). It is good to allow beginners to tune string E1 down to D and it is easy to use. However it is not back lit, the screen can be hard to read in certain lighting conditions and will only handle standard tunings. Not bad, but not great.
