"Beginning adult keyboard."

Feature:
I bought the keyboard for its stand, speakers, 3 pedals (even though they are plastic), and sheet music stand. I am a beginner adult student and didn't need a lot of bells and whistles but am well pleased with the grand piano function along with the metronome and tranpose function. The keyboard cover is an awesome feature. Although the case is a little top heavy, I've had no trouble with the keyboard falling over.

Quality:
It was well packed for shipment. The stand finish is good and the hammer action is as close to being the real thing as digitally possible.

Value:
I was trying to get the Casio Previa PX550 which is now either out of stock or much higher at other places. The PX700 was only $30 higher.

Sound:
The sound is much better than the Yamaha 61-key I started on. The recorded songs sound very good. I do hear an extra sound when the keys are being depressed but not enough to be bothersome. The weighted action keys give it a fuller sound with more variations. For my situation the smaller number of sound functions isn't a problem. The keyboard has options for pedals, brightness, etc.

Ease of Use:
The manual left out a few details that could have saved me a lot of time trying to figure out, but I did it myself in about an hour-and-a-half. Didn't need specialized tools. Do read the manual. I printed out a page with the function keys to have handy.

Support:
NA

Overall:
Until my playing skill increases and I outgrow this unit, I'll keep it. It is a pleasure to play. I didn't realize what a piece of junk my prior keyboard was.

"Casio suprised me"

Feature:
Features are bare-bones, but I give it a 9 because it is not meant to be an in-depth midi controller or anything, it's meant simply for piano playing. I just wish it was slightly easier to switch between instruments.

Quality:
The pedals are plastic. They could have improved on that. The piano sounds, although excpetional, could have been better, especially the octave starting at high C. But again, the piano sounds are very good.

Value:
Totally worth every penny. The action is amazing, and it looks very classy.

Desirability:
VERY Sexy. The only casio keyboard with any appeal at all. But very very appealing.

Sound:
Sounds are more decent than I thought they'd be. Piano sounds are suprisingly good! Waaaay better than the prokeys 88. The strings and hammond sounds are very good.

Ease of Use:
Very easy to use. Took about 45 minutes to set up. Power it up and start playing!

Overall:
Overall, I give it a 9. For the price, you can't go wrong. I am convinced this keyboard has the best action every on an keyboard besides the old EP's with wooden, hammer-driven keys. It looks amazing, takes up little space. Piano sounds are good.

About This Product!
Description
The PX-700 blends the lightweight, compact nature of a Privia Digital Piano with the traditional components of a cabinet piano. This new addition to the Privia line is the first with an integrated stand and 3-pedal unit. The PX-700 will hit the right key with anyone who is looking for a traditional piano look. This new addition to the Privia line turns up the tempo by incorporating revolving high-volume box-type speakers underneath the keyboard, which can be turned to face either the player or the audience. It also includes a slide-type cover that protects the keyboard and also adds to the stylish look.

Other features include a scaled hammer action keyboard for authentic grand piano feel. The lower notes play relatively heavier than the higher notes, just like the keys on a grand piano.

Stereo-Sampled Tri-Element ZPI Sound Source
A stereo-sampled Tri-element ZPI sound source includes separate waveforms for strong key pressure, medium key pressure and light key pressure, which accentuate the difference between the sounds produced by each. Multiple stereo-samples are also taken of tones produced by an acoustic grand, from the low range to the high range. Notes remain natural sounding and realistic from the moment a key is pressed until the note decays, providing you with sound quality that is virtually identical to that of an acoustic grand piano. 32-note polyphony helps to ensure you never lose notes due to damper pedal operation.

High-Quality, Versatile Tone, with Layer and Split
In addition to grand piano tones, the PX-700 also includes strings, pipe organ, and other tones. A layer feature allows simultaneous play of 2 tones, and a split feature lets you split the keyboard between 2 different tones.
