"MACKIES LOST TO SAMSON"

Feature:
Has a lot of great features including a High and Low control on the back plus a mic inut so you can set it up like a karoke system without a mixer.

Quality:
The cabinets are pretty tough and can take a lot of abuse but if they scratch they scratcha dn it looks very bad.

Value:
Best bang for the buck. Cheaper and more powerful than the Mackie SRM450's and sonds clearer ar high volume.

Desirability:
I wouldn't call it sexy, their speakers but the blue power LED looks very cool in the dark.

Sound:
The bass from these speakers is amazing. Just two easily filled a large hall with clear sounding music. The 15" woofer sounds much better than the 12" on the Mackie SRM450 but the tweeter on the Mackie sounds more clear. Plays music the best but a very live music speaker. It has tons of monting options to so its very versatile.

Ease of Use:
The speaker takes a lot of fiddling to make it sound really good but if you know what your doing it's not bad. They are heavy and pretty hard to get onto a stand by yourself.

Support:
I never delat with them but many people say that they are slow but helpful.

Overall:
I would never buy any other speaker if these broke but I would buy a Samson sub to supplment it.

"Exellent value for mobile d.j. who wants the most bang for the buck."

Feature:
Has everything you will need, even a two band equalizer for the bass and treble. Also a limiter switch is useful to avoid clipping.

Quality:
Weight could be an issue. Its a little tricky getting on a stand by yourself.Seems very well built, but you will have to be careful moving around, because to my knowledge there is not a speaker bag or case that will fit it.I would not let that keep you from buying. The payoff is in the sound.

Value:
Better value than the jbls or the mackies. Better price.

Desirability:
Looks good up on a stand.Blue powered light a nice effect.

Sound:
I have listened to the jbls and the mackies, and would highly recommend the samsons. These are the only powered speakers that will provide enough bass power without having to invest in subs.If I would have known that they sounded this good I would have bought them to start with.Could have saved alot of wear and tear on my back from lugging around heavy amps and floorstanding speakers.Exellent bang for the buck!

Support:
Have not had to use fortunately.

Overall:
Just bought recently, but very satisfied so far.Wish I would have checked them out sooner.

If you want the best sounding speaker system you need to start with the best sounding components. For this, Samson had Celestion custom design a super heavy-duty 15 in. driver and combined it with a super smooth titanium diaphragm HF driver. TO drive this, Samson packed the dB500 with a Class H power amp that pumps 400 watts RMS to the 15 in. and a separate Class AB power amp delivers a clean 100 watts RMS to the HF driver. Samson's exclusive Optimax multi-band limiter makes sure that you get great sound at any level. Other features include a molded cabinet design with steel grills, 3 padded handles, 8 flypoints, an integral pole mount, and angled sides for use as a wedge monitor. Since you can never have enough control, the dB500 back panel features a dedicated XLR mic input and a line level XLR and 1/4 in. combo input all with level controls, an XLR line level output, 2-band EQ, a switchable limiter and low pass filter, and signal sensing auto-turn on and off.
Affordable powered PA speakers for main or monitor use! Two-way design with 15" Celestion woofer and titanium-diaphragm tweeter biamped with 400 and 100 watts RMS respectively. Built-in limiter. XLR and 1/4" combo mic/line input with 2-band EQ.
