Echo Indigo includes support for WDM audio, direct kernel streaming, ASIO and GSIF on Windows Me/2000/XP and CoreAudio on Mac OS X. It plugs into a Type II Cardbus slot on just about any laptop.
With full support for professional audio applications, ultra low latency, and clear, rich sound, Echo Indigo is the perfect solution for taking your sound on the road.
Why Indigo
Try an experiment - plug a pair of headphones into your laptop's audio output and turn the volume up without playing anything. With most laptops you'll hear hissing, buzzing, or some other objectionable noise. With Indigo, you don't get any of that - instead, silence is just silent. And once you start listening to something, you really begin to appreciate the difference. Nuances that you never heard before jump out; the sound is clear and detailed.
Simply put, Indigo is as good as Echo's professional audio hardware - and that's saying a lot. Echo's professional audio hardware has long enjoyed a reputation… read more for quality; now you can enjoy that same level of audio fidelity with Indigo.
If you want the technical nitty-gritty, Echo Indigo is a true 24-bit, 96 kHz device, with the same high-end converter, analog circuitry, exceptional dynamic range, and ultra-clean power supply found in Echo's professional audio products. Ultimately, however, the bottom line is this - Indigo simply sounds better.

Reviews
"NO RECORDING!!!!!! PLAYBACK ONLY."
quality product, high quality sound, excellent drivers. note: 1. you can't record. 2. i had installation problems that became very frustrating. had to reformat my c/drive, however, doubt it's a problem with echo.
Sound
great sound.
Features
buyer beware. you can't record with this device. i'm looking to replace it since i need record capability.
Quality
no problems. great ASIO 2.0 sound driver.
Value
100 bucks for upgrade in audio on laptop is a pretty good price, but the lack of recording pisses me off. i've not heard great stuff about digigram's vxpockets and the next solution for notebook computer's is almost 1000 dollars. frustrating.
Manufacturer Support
get a reply in a day or 2.
The Wow Factor
great sound quality, still don't know why they couldn't add recording capability. seems like a no brainer since their other products are geared towards music/sound professionals.
