The TSM411 is recommended for toms, snare, timbales, congas, etc. The ICM417 is an excellent overhead/hi-hat mic and the KBM412 is the perfect mic for your kick. TSM411
The TSM411 is a percussion / general purpose application microphone. The TSM411 incorporates an all new "duo-point" suspension. This technology provides remarkable shock isolation and ballistic stability, which is very important for successful reproduction of sound sources originating from percussion instruments such as toms, snares, cymbals, congas, guitar and keyboard amps, stacks, and other similar applications.
ICM417
Packaged in a rugged, small, all metal body, the ICM417 electret condenser microphone provides natural, transparent sound quality. The transformerless design of this cardioid condenser provides optimum low frequency response and low distortion. The ICM417 is designed for use with cymbals, overheads, and stringed instruments. Its wide, flat frequency response, coupled with the CAD exclusive I.N.R. shockmount make the ICM417 an extremely high quality percussion microphone as well.
KBM412
The KBM412 is a large diameter, Neodymium dynamic microphone, specifically designed for bass drum and other low frequency sources. Packaged in a rugged die-cast body with a hardened external screen providing additional protection from incidental striking. The KBM412 was designed to provide extended low-end frequency response, along with high SPL handling capability. The KBM412 delivers exceptional performance as a kick and large tom microphone and will deliver excellent performance when used to mic bass and large diameter percussive instruments and other similar applications.
