Feature:
A good amount of trigger inputs, but I can definatley see where some may need more unless you are very comfortable with MIDI. The accompaniment (sp) songs are great to practice to and even might inspire
Quality:
The single trigger triggers are holding up well (after 1 year) the double trigger triggers however, drove me completely crazy until they just completely gave up. Three months into ownership and Roland would only pay for parts and not service (or vice versa I can't remember) and I would have to pay shipping also. I have since changed the cables to mono cables and am succesfully using them as single triggers. So I have had to lose two triggers effectively. The rack seems to be holding up well also. But those cymbal triggers really bring this score down.
Value:
Like I said earlier, at this price point you are getting a very playable, configurable, great sounding kit.
Desirability:
Because there are others that "Blow it away" in the Roland line... I would say, the hardcore player would find it much less attractive than the beginner or casual player. On the other hand the casual player will absolutely love it if you can live with the crappy cymbal triggers (just change to the mono cables now, save yourself)
Sound:
Considering its price as compared to other kits, the sounds are incredible (try it through a P.A.)The drum sounds are very configurable and the ambiance settings help to create seemingly endless sound scapes. The cymbals can sound a bit digitised at times but it is also an overlookable issue. To the point, there are some very ballsy sounds in this brain.
Support:
Roland wanted me to go through my music store and they were not very concerned with helping me. (My wife bought them for me, I would have never used this stote...name withheld)
Overall:
I really enjoy this kit, but I do miss my acoustic set.
