The American Deluxe Fat Strat¬ is the ultimate in high-performance. Classically contoured solid "tone-wood" bodies and new distinctive neck shapes fit like a glove. Additional configurations include the new Fender DH-1 Humbucker in the bridge position and an LSR Roller Nut. The 2 Noiseless pickups in the neck and bridge position are wound extra hot for proper balance with the humbucker.

I like the neck a lot. But I also love the tone. The controls are also very nice. I just love the thing.
Sound
The tone is excellent. Using the neck pickup gives it a nice rich tone. Not quite a Les Paul, but it is half the price.
Features
The hard case is great. I fly a lot and I take it on board. The shape matches the guitar so it is smaller than the rectangular hard case.
Quality
I really like the bridge work. And the roller bearing nut is awesome. The finish was flawless and setup was about perfect from the factory.
Value
Outstanding. I played 10 guitars before I bought this one. Anything comparable is far more expensive.

The Wow Factor
I must. I bought one. And now I am thinking about getting an Ywngie Malmstein or a Jeff Beck.
