"The Best You Can Buy"

Feature:
The components and hardware are kind of cheap. This includes the tremolo system, potentiometers, 1/4" input jack, and tuners. The pickups are surprisingly good. When I bought it...I got no accessories.

Quality:
The body is great. The paintjob is excellent. The only downside and the real truth about the cheaper guitars is simply: hardware. I had to replace the input plug because it was so low quality...They didn't even use spring steel to hold the plug in. There were certain times when the plug would just fall out from plugging and unplugging it from the cable so many times. Jackson also uses extremely low quality potentiometers in this guitar. I just replaced the volume pot. And am assuming the tone pot will go out next.

Value:
This is the best priced guitar. If you're thinking about buying a telecaster or stratocaster for the low low price. You should really make a second thought.

Desirability:
I really like this guitar overall. It looks like the standard guitar. But, when you play it...You learn to love it. And then after a few modifications and upgrades in parts. $20 can make this guitar feel like a million. I fell in love with it EVEN MORE after I got it.

Sound:
I really like the sound of it. I've owned and used this guitar since I was 8 years old, and I'm 15 now. So, I've had plenty of experience with it. This is the best beginner guitar versus the too-common Fenders...But is also an incredible guitar for the advanced player. It sounds nice all over. The humbucker pickup in the back is quite a treat. For as many different sounds of pickups...There's some that don't quite have enough distortion, or there's some that cut off a little bit on the treble or bass. This is perfect. I listened to the sounds compared to a Gibson Explorer. The Explorer has a hotter pickup...But, has some clip off of the treble. With this guitar a roll of the tone knob it will sound exactly the same! It may seem like a guitar for only beginners...But, it isn't. It has great sound. If you play on larger amplifiers like a stack or high wattage combo, the outcome

Support:
I have had no experiences under warranty. But, I have done upgrades. I did have to upgrade some hardware...Because it malfunctioned or did not work properly over use. I replaced the volume potentiometer with a Cor-Tek B500K. Then I also did not use the tremolo system. When ever I tried to use it...The strings would go out of tune. This was a cheap tremolo system. So what I did was open up the back and take a small block of wood and stuff it in between the guitar body and the bridge. This locked it down and gave it incredible sustain. Even more than a Les Paul!

Overall:
I'm very happy. I may never buy another guitar after all I've done to this one.

"Very good guitar, with a minor problem"

Feature:
The only excessory was a whammy bar, which is cool for solos and otherwise just messing around. I don't think it came with any extras other than that.

Quality:
There is one problem--the electronics. I don't know if its the humbuckers or the pickups or what, but the thing buzzes when its played at louder volumes. Other than that, the thing is great. I don't rough it up, so I don't know how the finish and wood would stand against a beating. I never worry about it not working or anything, the quality is good, only bump is the electronics.

Value:
I thought it would be less than great because it wasn't as expensive as a strat and other guitars like that, but its fine, good for a beginner like me.

Desirability:
I really, really like the way it looks. I got it in special transparent red finish, and you can see the pretty wood the body is made of underneath the color. I'd get a transparent finish over any color, its really sexy.

Sound:
The sound... Well, its good, but electronics on it are less than exceptional, because the guitar buzzes when played at high volumes. Other than that, yeah its fine, just get a good amp. I've never played a really high end guitar like a gibson sg or something, so I wouldn't be able to compare the sound to that.

Support:
I gave them a 10, but I've never dealt with any kind of support at all. The manual was useful, I guess that counts for something...

Overall:
Other than the electrronic problem, this guitar is great. Of course when get better I'll get something more high-end, but this works for me now because I'm just a beginner. Just need to fix the electronic problem. Very happy with this guitar.
