"Great Stage Piano - Great Instrument!"

Feature:
Additional available accessories are highly recommended. I have purchased the pedals and three sound cards that go with this and now would not be without them. On board rhythm is not programable but what is available as drum support is satisfactory. Of course, this has all the MIDI capacities you would wish for.

Quality:
This Roland Keyboard is solid and I have owned it for about two years. No performance or repair issues encountered as yet. It is a heavier keyboard to transport and, to be safe, should really be moved by two people. It does have a nice, sleek and professional appearance and is easy to clean. No loose parts and parts that will fall off easily. Product is very reliable and impressive for most purposes.

Value:
I have had no regrets whatsoever from purchasing the Roland RD 700sx. I was looking for a reliable stage piano that would also work well in a studio setting. It has delivered on these expectations and more.

Desirability:
This product can truly deliver numerous awesome sounds that are surprising and truly amazing to listeners. One might only see a keyboard but, when this is played well and all capacities are used, it can be a 'head turner'.

Sound:
This is an exceptional keyboard with great sound quality. Sound layering capacities offer not only depth of sound but a wide range as well. Whether you want a heavy rock or intimate piano sound, its there at the push of a button. Keyboard action is quite good. Piano options could be better and I have found this only improves slightly with the addition of optional cards. Use this Roland with a Boss BR1600 for recording ideas. Works very well as a combo.

Ease of Use:
Roland does a pretty good job with its manual content. There are sections that are confusing and I found you have to read these a few times to gain a clearer understanding. There is a learning curve with this instrument that is not immediately apparent but once you get the hang of the key features, it is truly a wonderful instrument. Modification of sound is user friendly and quick. It has transposing capacity which is also useful at times. I use a Traynor K4 amplifier which is an exceptional amp for this keyboard.

Support:
I had occasion to contact Roland Canada for support and received great advice and service. They were easy to reach, put me in touch with a product expert immediately and answered my questions the same day to my great satisfaction. I have not, as yet, required any repair service on this Roland piano but am left with the impression that Roland truly backs up its products and that I can have a high level of confidence in their service in the future.

Overall:
No plans to replace at this time. Have looked at the Yamaha Motif models but for the money, this Roland meets all of my needs. If this was damaged, lost or stolen, I might be tempted to consider the Yamaha Motif XS model but currently have no regrets.

"Wonderful stage piano! I am very happy I bought it."

Feature:
a lot more features then I expected from a stage piano.

Quality:
Very nice looking. Sturdy construction. Finish will scratch easy on it though. I put a small mixer on top of it and it ended up scratching the finish very easily.

Value:
A bit heavy priced but probably worth it.

Desirability:
I own it. It looks great on stage though.

Sound:
Awesome, the best piano sounds I ever had. This keyboard is wonderful and even the strings and horns are awesome. I would like to see some more analog synth sounds however, it is a stage piano so I didn't expect a lot from that realm.

Ease of Use:
Very easy to use just a touch of a button and you're on your way to great sounds.

Support:
I cannot rate this. Haven't used it.

Overall:
Love It! Roland makes some awesome products.
