Songs can be created with JUNO-G's onboard audio/MIDI recorder, all for an incredibly low price.

Great Sounds with Roland's Fantom-X on the JUNO-G

Roland's Fantom-X series is a grand-slam hit around the globe. The Fantom's high-quality sound engine is a key factor in its success. The Roland JUNO-G shares the same processor as the Fantom-X, and thus delivers the finest sound quality on the market -- including an 88-note multisampled read more grand piano, and a wide range of sounds that span from classical to cutting-edge. You can further expand your JUNO-G with one of Roland's SRX expansion boards (optional).

Roland's JUNO-G: Includes a Audio/MIDI Recorder Onboard

For songwriters and performers, Roland JUNO-G's 16-part MIDI sequencer is a must. But the addition of 4 companion stereo audio tracks is a huge bonus, and an unexpected surprise for an instrument in this price range! Now players can lay down the perfect backing tracks plus vocals, live guitar parts, and the like. The Roland JUNO-G's dedicated front-panel transport controls and mixer make the recording experience all the more friendly.

Roland JUNO-G: Featuring an Inviting Interface
For an instrument packed with so many features, the Roland JUNO-G offers unprecedented ease of use. The aforementioned mixer and transport controls are only part of the friendly "hands-on" work surface. It has clearly labeled buttons, six knobs to modify sounds, five sliders for the audio section, a data wheel, a D Beam, and a pitch/mod lever. In the center of it all is the largest backlit LCD of any synth in this price range.

The Roland JUNO-G is Computer Friendly

The beauty of the Roland JUNO-G is that it can be used to by itself create complete songs from start to finish, but for those who want to take it one step further and incorporate a computer into the setup, the Roland JUNO-G can be linked to a PC or Mac via its USB port. All MIDI communications can be handled over USB, which can also be used to send and receive WAV/AIF files and patch data. As an extra computer-related bonus, Roland ships every new JUNO-G with a copy of Cakewalk's Sonar LE software for PC.

Roland JUNO-G Version 2.0

Overall I would give it a 9 and that's because you can only add 1 SRX Expansion Card and you have to purchase a Compaq card Adapter in order to insert it in the system memory card slot. Other than that, it's a steal for the money you paid for. The sounds are great and even the user memory can store songs without the card. Get this even on or not on a budget!!

Sound
I just bought this board a week ago and so far it's the best. The sounds are great and perfect for al styles. It also comes with great sound effects out the box. I am in no rush to buy expansions because it is satisfying me right now. The biggest thing would be the drums. The 808 are a little weak, but will do.

Features
Great features, really slick design and so comfortable to use. You can connect via USB to your computer and use editing features as well. I love the fact that everything is in the unit, no need to add external equip just to make a song.

Ease of Use
I think it's the easiest board to use, everything is cut dry and to the point. I created a full song right out the box with without the manual. It actually comes with a quick start full color manual that will have you up and creating in minutes. if you can read you will create.

Quality
So far this thing is a beast! Great feel and I love that it is so portable. Well it's built pretty solid. The keys are your typical Roland standards. read more

Value
This thing is definately worth the price! It's a true creating machine for all genre's for music. It also comes with Sonar Software for added creativity.

Manufacturer Support
No Comment. No need so far!
