This is typically a purchase directly from the vendor, who may have used the product at a training session or at a trade show, but this may also be a refurbished product. This inventory includes all parts, components, manuals (hard copy or downloadable) and the full factory warranty. It is guaranteed to work perfectly, but it may have a cosmetic blemish. It may be less attractive than Warehouse or Factory Resealed inventory, but it's priced even lower! This inventory is a great value.

"If this thing said Bose on it instead of Crate, people would believe it and pay twice as much!"

Feature:
The features that matter to me are having two independent highly tailorable inputs. My other guitar is an old Guild D25 with an old pickup in the hole, so it needs quite a bit of different knob positioning. I also found the adjustable line volume out invaluable when working with the PA system. I could have my stage mix at my volume without overpowering the house PA. The effects are nice, if a bit limited, but switching back and forth between 2 effects using the footswitch is great. Oh yeah -- the feedback control system WORKS GREAT. The only reason this is a 9 rating is that I don't care for the plastic used at the jack nuts. I want 100% metal for ultimate toughness. It's a perception thing with me, but I guess they have to do something to keep prices down.

Quality:
Again -- I'm giving it a 9 for the plastic used at some of the connectors. Haven't had it loing enough to know long term but Crate quality is way way up over the past 5 - 10 years or so.

Value:
If you plot price vs sound. this amp wins. if you plot price vs quality this amp wins. There are probably better amps out there but I don't think there is a better value.

Desirability:
Very good looking amp. Honestly the only downside is that Crate's old reputation for questionable quality takes away from the badge appeal when people see the name. If this thing said Bose, people would believe it and pay twice as much.

Sound:
I've been playing for 30 years. Have owned many different electric and acoustic systems and usually will pay for better equipment if the sound justifies it. I play a Taylor GS with B-Band acoustic pickup system. While deciding to buy, I took my guitar to the stores 3 times to play through the available acoustic amps: Fishman, Roland, Fender, GenzBenz and the Crate. This 60W amp wowed me with its clean sound and ability to reproduce the warm mid-ranges of my Taylor. The only other amp the I thought sounded close was the Fishman. I play a show live last weekend and it sounded fantastic. Both through the house PA and just stage mix. I'm happy.

Ease of Use:
I got this on Friday and was playing out with it on Saturday night. Super Easy. Need I say more?

Support:
I have some other Crate gear. I've only ever had one real issue and they replaced the unit without much hassle. Would be 10 if I'd never had an issue.

Overall:
Unless some probelm pops up, I don't expect be purchasing another acoustic amp for maybe another 10 years.

"good acoustic amp for small to medium sized rooms"

Feature:
Has some very useful effects, 2 inputs, 10 in. speaker, and nice green tolex, I'm deducting 1 point, as I don't care for the layout of the knobs on the amp. I tend to prefer an amp's knobs to be on the front, rather than on top.

Quality:
Made in the USA. The Gunnison seems reliable. There have been no problems in the 6 months I've had it. The cab it's housed in, is great(no rattles) and it weighs less than 40lb. so it's not going to break your back to transport it. I used to think Crate amps were junk, but some of their more recent tube amps, and this line of acoustic amps has changed my mind about them.

Value:
excellent value for the price

Desirability:
Unique green color sets it apart from blonde or black tolex covered amps. You'll probably either love or hate the color.

Sound:
Best sound for it's price range(under $400) and enough power(60 watts) to keep up with drums. Sounds great with my Martin acoustic and my Washburn 12 string jumbo.

Ease of Use:
It is a pretty straight forward amp, and not too complicated. I like the variety of reverbs, and the chorus is decent.

Support:
I don't know, as I've never had to deal with Crate's customer service dept. Crate amps, and solid state amps in general, are usually very reliable.

Overall:
The only other acoustic guitar amp that I liked more than the Gunnison, was made by Fishman. The Fishman was also triple the price, so the Crate seemed like the best bang for buck acoustic guitar amp that I could find. It seems more solid than the Behringers I've tried, had more features than Marshall's 50 watt acoustic amp. Highly recommend!

News
New for 2004, Crate introduces an entirely new range of acoustic amplifiers. The technology in the new Crate acoustic series is unique, with preamp circuits you can tailor for piezo or active systems. Their new feedback elimination circuits are efficient and simple to use. They even include the ability to automatically eliminate feedback at two different frequencies. Crate uses special studio monitor-style speakers with polypropylene cones and rubber surrounds in ported cabinets for tight, even bass response. Every CA amp has a high frequency component for crisp, clear highs. The CA6110DG model includes special features for live performance like XLR & 1/4 in. balanced line out with level control which does not affect your stage volume. It also has ground lift on the line out, tweeter level control, effects loop and a two button footswitch for internal reverb/effects and chorus switching. Also included is a wide array of reverbs, delays, chorus and multiple effects settings.
