Feature:
yeah yeah it's packed with tons of features... but remember it's a digital piano! so the piano is supposed to be good-What's the reason for having nice features, eye-catching look when the piano itself(isn't it why you purchase the digital piano?) is bad?

Quality:
looks good and tough

Desirability:
I don't want it at all and I will never want to play it at all. I would cry If I need to play this piano on the stage. In fact, Korg has never made a good piano, see how the pianos sound in their syns , like Triton and Karma. Korg is goot at making a real "synthesizer" not "acoustic emulation instrument". Yamaha, Roland and Kurzweil are far better than Korg in imitating acoustic instruments.

Sound:
THIS BOARD DOESN'T SOUND LIKE A PIANO!, and if you said that you were fooled when playing this board with eyes closed, you must not have heard how the real acoustic piano sounds. If you wanna laugh, try one of the demo songs called "Fantasie Impromptu Op66" and suddenly you'll know it sounds even worse than a $200 Casio! Go get classical CDs to see how the good pianos should sound and I'm sure you won't go for this canned piano.

Overall:
everything seems bad to me, so why do I give it a 3? because:- 1. It looks great 2. It is packed with tons of features

Korg's Piano Sounds: The Choice of Professional Musicians
Korg instruments are praised by professional musicians around the world for their superior sound. The new SP-500 Digital Piano continues that tradition with it rich sampled pianos - including a stunning stereo grand piano. And with a generous 64 notes of polyphony, the SP-500 ensures that notes will not be interrupted, even when you perform with full use of the damper pedal.

The SP-500 is loaded with 396 sound programs, all taken from Korg's professional synthesizers. In addition to 19 different piano sounds, the SP-500 boasts a selection of electric piano, organ, flute/sax, brass, strings, guitar, drum, and synthesizer sounds. There are also 8 special Melody Voice programs featuring natural-sounding vibrato that realistically captures each instrument's expressivity. Any 2 sounds can be layered together or split between the SP-500's high and low ranges.

The SP-500 Features True Grand Piano Touch
The SP-500 Digital Piano features Korg's newest Real Weighted Hammer Action II keyboard that responds to your playing in the same way a grand piano does. It provides a heavier touch in the low register and a lighter touch in the high register. The SP-500's Key Touch Control function can be adjusted in 6 stages, letting you select the sensitivity you prefer.

Automatic Accompaniment Brings Your Music to Life
The SP-500's professionally produced accompaniment styles make it easy for you to create great sounding ensemble performances. Its Pianist Rhythm Styles provide accompaniments featuring piano-type left-hand passages that enable even novice players to sound like accomplished pianists. A wide range of Rhythm Styles covering rock, pop, jazz and more enable the SP-500 to deliver the full-sounding performance of a complete pro backup band. The touch-panel LCD lets you select or modify sounds and accompaniment styles by simply touching words or images displayed on the screen. Operation is easy, and the functions are literally at your fingertips.

The SP-500 also provides a Help function to ensure that even first-time users can quickly master its operation. Just press the Help button at any time and an explanation of each function appears in the large TouchView display.

The SP-500 Digital Piano's high-quality effects share the same heritage as the effects in Korg's professional and stage instruments.

2 Easy-To-Use Recording Modes
When you play, you can save your performance to the SP-500's internal memory as one of up to 100 songs. No floppy disk is required. This provides a convenient way to play back your performances or listen to lessons. You can record your realtime piano performances or use the accompaniment system to capture a complete ensemble production. You can even use step-recording to enter your chords one at a time. Since the SP-500 is GM compatible it can be hooked up to a computer or other MIDI-equipped devices to play back song files, take interactive music lessons, and many other fun and educational musical activities.
