Feature:
It comes with a standard footswitch 2 eq's for the clean, and 3 eq's for the gain. it would have been cool for the clean channel to have a separate reverb and other cool effects like its bigger brother: the avt150, but i don't reaaly need all that. i just want to play straight rock and roll! it's a matter of choice really, but it is more important for the amp to sound good than have a bunch of digital effects. one thing i have to complain about is when you switch over from distortion to clean while still sustaining a note a loud "popping" sound will occur for a second. it kind of annoying, but it can be easily avoided. The construction is great (solid as a rock) and you can barely hear the circulation fan that cools the amp.
Quality:
you get a 5 year warranty, so i'm not that worried. and everything seems to work fine.
Value:
i'd say its a little expensive, but you get for what you paid for!
Desirability:
I just love the way it sounds and feels. i think it will help me progress as a better musician and explore deeper tones in different amps and instruments. it was a great investment.
Sound:
Powerful and crisp clean & classic marshall crunch! This amp is loud and clear! I love the clean channel and how it responds to every note. I play a standard strat and it doesn't have that bright, fake, solid-state sound that hurts your ears, but is smooth and regulated. The tube in the pre-amp makes so much difference between the other MG (marshall) series. the tube adds so much more dimension to the clean and gain channels. the bass is terrific and since it has a closed back design you get deeper tones. when you turn this up you can really hear the vibrations in your bones! I have a boss ds-1 pedal, but I DON'T NEED IT ANYMORE! for the money, although not inexpensive, i can't complain. i give it a 10.
Support:
can't say that i have dealt with marshall.
Overall:
I had a fender champ30 and it just wasn't loud or clear enough to hear over a drummer and other sounds, so i looked and looked a found this marshall to be my best bet. i don't need a huge stack right now... although i would prefer a mode 4... but the marshall is great and loud and it rocks!

This amp has many stories to tell. First of all the legend... Marshall has been making the best guitar amps in the biz for over 40 years. They have improved a little over the years, but the natural Marshall qualtiy and tone in the amps you find in the stores today are the same as they were that you would find in "Marshalls Music Store". Quality distortion that gave rock, heavy metal, and grunge the room to breathe and explore. Marshall gave the distortion and versitility, the artists used Marshall and became great landmarks in the rock timeline. The sparkling clean channel that has caught the ear of blues and rockers for decades still rings true with every amp that is made. Marshall makes the amps, stars use them. The AVT series uses a tube pre-amp which enables AVT to sound more like an all tube amp than any other. The clean will overdrive and sound like the all tubes which is a job no transistor can match. The overdrive channel is crunchy, buttery and sleek, you may now look no farther... Crate, Fender, Line6... they have there way, but Marshall has its own, and it has proven to be the best!
