"ALL THE INFO YOU NEED ABOUT THE G 40 V"

Feature:
Pretty much a straight foward amp. No extras; completly old school. For features, I use a Marshall pedal which works great by the way. Pedals really bring out the tone of this amp. In my oppinion, the presence controll is piontless on strat type guitars. It only adds a papery rasp to your tone.

Quality:
By constanly hauling it around everyday in the past half year i've had it, the amp has held up really well. No dings, scraches, or dents. The actual quality of the amp is quite good. It weighs only about 25 lbs and is rather sturdy. The tubes are protected by a metal grill and do not fall out.

Value:
pretty much the best deal out there. You can spend $320 on another tube amp but your only gonna get about 15 watts.

Desirability:
The looks of this amp could be better. It is very unique, take my word. The "pigskin" covering is a clayish color, somewhere in between brown and faded orange.

Sound:
The sound of this amp is quite good. It gives a nice tube tone. Distortion is great for blues and blues rock. It can be set to a nice, creamy tone. If you are comparing this against a solid state combo of similar wattage, the solid state will not stand a chance when it comes to tone.

Ease of Use:
Simple, user friendly, easy to change tubes and speakers (recomended).

Overall:
I am completly satified with my purchase, you cannot beat the price. I can jamm with my friends at extremly high volumes (Neighbors calling) and this thing wont even be cranked half way up. It rocks out loud and works great with a speaker cabinet. (Nice with celestions and eminence cabs). The only down sides to this amp are the lack of features, looks, and the fact that the amp doesn't really know what "clean" means. It is extremly haard to get a nice clean tone out of the amp. If you want a clean channal on this amp, I recomend swapping the tubes with low gain ones. (I would swap the tubes anyway). All in all, this is a great little amp with a superb design. It suffers from being produced in china using cheap chinese components. Its a great amp to mod because of is simplicity and size.

The new Pignose G40V is a technical marvel that puts out a screaming conservatively rated 40 watts RMS through its own specially designed 10 in. speaker.

A truly pro amplifier, this little (14 x 9 x 17 in.) powerhouse features 2 - 6L6s, and 3 - 12AX7 tubes, 4 and 8 ohm output jacks, controls for volume, master volume, treble, mid, bass, and presence.

It's perfect for the bedroom, but really shines when you "open it up." It is capable of powering a 4 x 12 in. cabinet!

Pignose commissioned the world-renouned tube amp engineer and designer Dennis Kager to perfect this little monster, and it has been Field tested in clubs for 6 months to great acclaim.

The G40V is built like the time tested tube amps of the 60's, but in a tiny package, like a stealth amp. They'll laugh when you walk in with it, but they'll become true believers when they hear it crank. Best of all, it has the classic Pignose look and solid reputation
