An exact replica of Hofner's 1963 model Violin Bass, the 500/1 Vintage '63 offers a narrow neck with a medium 30 inch scale length to provide optimal playability. Named for the year the most familiar version of the Violin Bass was popularized, the Vintage '63 captures its characteristic deep and warm tone reminiscent of a full-size string bass. Built to be as durable as its legacy, the compact-sized, easy-to-play, light-in-weight Vintage '63 is equally at home on stage or in the studio.
